A Flexible Learning Journey
Learn in Parts, Not Levels
Instead of beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels, the curriculum is divided into Part 1, Part 2, and Part 3. This makes learning more natural. It makes sense to learn colors, numbers, and animals before learning words used at a hospital or a bank. The recommended path is to follow the full curriculum, but every class can also be taken on its own, in any order.

I'm Sly Toussaint
I’m the founder and Executive Director of Centre Toussaint, an organization dedicated to sharing Haitian language, culture, and identity through a Pan-African perspective.
I lived in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, from 2001 to 2008, where I immersed myself in the language, culture, and everyday life. That experience gave me a deep understanding of Haitian Creole and inspired me to help others discover its beauty.
For more than 20 years, I’ve inspired and taught people through language and culture. I started teaching Haitian dance in 2002, and since 2017, I’ve been helping students from all backgrounds learn Haitian Creole with confidence. My teaching style is practical, engaging, and designed to make learning simple, enjoyable, and easy to follow.
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from HEC Montréal, with a specialization in Marketing and Management. My work has been recognized through community awards and featured by organizations including Radio-Canada, Journal Métro, MAtv, and CPAM Radio. In 2024, I received the Woman of Distinction Award in recognition of my community involvement.
For me, learning Haitian Creole is about more than words. It’s about connecting with family, embracing your heritage, discovering a vibrant culture, and building meaningful relationships.
